I'm happy to announce that the Artisans on Main Gallery, 9 River St., Montague, Prince Edward Island, Canada, recently juried my work, and I'm now a member! I was the featured artist of the week of July 22 on the gallery's Facebook page www.facebook.com/ArtisansOnMain.
If you're on the Island, do visit Artisans on Main, 9 Water Street, Montague, Prince Edward Island.
The Southern Vermont Arts Center opens its National Fall Art Exhibit in September and will include original paintings, watercolors, pastels, photography, mixed media, and sculpture. Two of my paintings – “Wetlands Visitors” and “Golden & Delicious” -- have been accepted by the jury for this show. I’m very happy to be included among the excellent artists whose works will be represented in the gallery. On my Recent Paintings page you can see “Wetlands Visitors,” which I painted after spying a group of geese that were resting in the water while I was walking with a friend on the Rail Trail in Groton, Massachusetts. “Golden & Delicious” includes an old rusty iron pot found during some excavation near our cottage on Prince Edward Island, along with some fresh and new Golden Delicious apples.
